Adair’s Carter Back – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma AgCredit

Adair High School’s Carter Back is a member of the varsity baseball team and the FFA chapter. Back started in FFA during middle school and has enjoyed being part of the chapter ever since.

“I first got involved with FFA as an eighth grader by showing calves,” said Back. “My father was the person who got me involved in FFA. We enjoyed going to shows and had a lot of fun.”

One common comment you will hear from FFA members is how great the people within the organization are to be around and work with. For Back, being around those same individuals in the community is one big reason why he loves being part of FFA.

“Just being around the great people of our community and those who are involved in FFA is what I enjoy most about it,” said Back.

Also a member of the basketball and baseball teams, Back said he enjoys being around his teammates and helping his team be successful.

“What I like most about my team and teammates is how well we get along and our bond we have together,” said Back who plays left and right field for the Adair Warriors baseball team.

The senior did offer some advice for other students who are considering membership in the FFA.

“My advice to anyone wanting to join FFA is be fully committed to what you’re doing and have fun with it.”

Back also mentioned someone who has been a big influence in his life by setting a good example.

“My father has really set the bar high and shown me what it takes to be successful in life,” said Back.
