Players to Watch

Softball

Madi Neal – Bartlesville

Madi can do a little bit of everything and is a very versatile player. She is a player who can really make the offense go through driving in runs and having a near .500 on base percentage to give the Lady Bruins run scoring opportunities as well.

Briley Davis – Dewey

Briley was the team’s ace …last year and led Dewey to another regional championship and second state tournament appearance in a row. Starting 28 of 30 games, Davis pitched 159 innings posting a 1.9 ERA with 25 wins
and 126 strikeouts.

Rylee Lemos – Oklahoma Union

She is a four year starter and two time All-District player. She has one state tournament appearance and has a .500 career batting average.

Volleyball

Taylynn Ruble – Dewey

She is the glue that holds the team together.  Taylynn has started as the setter for the varsity squad for four years. She leads by example on and off the court with her hard work and dedication.

Underclassmen to Watch

Football 

Maverick Lanphear – Barnsdall

Maverick will be a leader and a starter in multiple sports over the next 4 years Last year as quarterback and linebacker he helped lead the junior high football team to an undefeated season.

Zak Wallis — Caney Valley

This will be Zak’s third year as a starter. He has accumulated over 3,000 yards passing and over 1,500 yards rushing. He is a tremendous athlete with a great head on his shoulders.

Levi Vanshuyver – Copan

Levi is just a freshman but he has got good size and speed. The best thing is he works hard and wants to be the best he can be. The team will rely on him quite a bit this season. 

Braden Garrison – Dewey

Braden will start on both sides of the ball this year. As a freshman he showed up on scout team every single day. He got spot minutes last year and he is looking to have a solid year. 

Jaxon Woods – Hominy

A kid with high character and a great work ethic. He started all games as a freshman. 

Riley Ammermon – Nowata

Came on strong at linebacker and has made great strides in the weight room and at the track. Riley has developed into one of the teams leaders. 

Isiah Johnson – Oklahoma Union

He is a great kid and he is expected to have a good year.

Landon kalivoda – South Coffeyville

Landon is a hard worker and an all around great kid. He will be really improved on the offensive line this season.

Unsung Heroes

Football

Easton Malone – Barnsdall

Easton will be a starter in multiple sports over the next four years. Last year as running back/defensive end he helped lead the junior high football team to an undefeated season and in track he helped lead the team to two runner up team finishes and a team win at the Covington-Douglas track meet.

Gage Keaton – Bartlesville

Gage has worked hard this offseason and is ready to make a bigger impact. He is a great teammate and is always ready to do whatever he can to help the team. 

Dillon Lucas – Caney Valley

Dillion is a tremendously hard working kid. Dillion does all the little things right. He was the second leading tackler on the team last year with 121 tackles. Dillion also broke a school record last year recording 15 sacks.

Dixon Adams – Dewey

Dixon is one of the hardest workers on the team. He is extremely coachable, and willing to do anything for his team to win.

Joseph Eaton – Hominy

Joesph is a hard worker. He was moved from wide receiver to offensive line two days before the first game last season. He grew as a player and is looking to have a big season.

Trinton Kuehn – Oklahoma Union

He brings commitment and fun to the team. He loves being around his friends, and his attitude infects those around him. He will be the figure head on both sides of the ball, no flash, just grit.

Jack Long – Pawhuska

Jack is one of the hardest workers on the team. He does everything he can to be the best athlete, student, friend, community member he can be. Jack is always looking for ways to better himself and help others.

Ayden Arredondo – South Coffeyville

Ayden is a hustler. He has worked hard this offseason to become a better offensive lineman.
