Quentin Williams

Coach: Sam Banker
20-21 Record: 7-12

With a large portion of the team returning this season, head coach Sam Banker expects this team to put together a nice year behind guard Quentin Williams (5-11, Jr.) who averaged 16 points a game. Williams was injured and his return status is unknown. “We are still extremely young with an opportunity to play a lot of freshmen and sophomores,” said Banker. “Our leading scorer is Quentin Williams, but he was injured this summer and we’re not sure when we will get him back. We’ve got a couple seniors that have significant experience, and we hope they can lead all of our young talent.” Haydn Rogers (5-10, Sr.) is the best defender on the team. Rogers will join Cody Brown (6-2, So.) at forward. Brown averaged 10 points and 9.0 rebounds last season and coach Banker expects good things from his sophomore. Rowdy Mullin (5-10, So.) is another underclassman who played point last year as a freshman. Braden Mitchell (5-10, Jr.) and Jesse Woodward (5-11, Sr.) shore up the guard position while Evan Shilling (5-10, Sr.) and Brendan Smith (5-9, So.) add depth. CJ Weeks (6-1, Fr.) is a long and athletic newcomer who has a chance to see quality minutes this year.

Coach: Brandon Lierle
20-21 Record: 9-13

Brandon Lierle takes over a program that returns four starters from last season and six total seniors. “We will rely on our length and out defense to get some easy baskets,” said coach Lierle. Lilly Hinson (5-8, Sr.) is one of the returning starters that coach Lierle will depend on for big plays on both ends of the court. Hinson will start at forward with Lanie Scott (5-2, Sr.) at guard. Scott and Ivie Lowrance (5-2, Sr.) are scrappy guards who can handle the rock and are quick with the ball. Scott will likely start at point guard where she will work to get her teammates some open looks. Haylie Keyes (5-7, Sr.) is returning from an injury and is expected to help this team find some points and play more defense. Skyla Youngbear (5-10, Jr.) adds depth at forward while Hannah Sikes (5-4, So.) and Kylee Herndon (5-6, So.) do that same for the guard position. Coach Lierle believes Sikes has the potential to be a prolific scorer thanks her athleticism.
