OFFENSE

The Wyandotte Bears were a young team last season but have six starters returning on offense and will look to show off their growth and maturity in 2022. Quarterback, Brady Lofland (6-0, 170, Jr.), will lead the way for the Savages in their pro style multiple offensive attack. The Bears want to run a balanced attack so look for Lofland to get the ball out early and often to receivers Luke Davis (5-8, 150, Jr.) and Malachi Epperson (5-8, 175, Sr.). Davis is one of the top playmakers for Wyandotte, a hard worker, and an elusive player who can score anytime he touches the ball.  Evan Brown (5-9, 160, So.) started every game as freshman in 2021, on both sides of the ball, and after playing fullback as a freshman he will be the primary ball carrier in 2022.

DEFENSE

The Bears want to be a physical and disciplined defense that can attack the ball from all levels in 2022. They will run a 4-3 philosophy and return six starters from last season. Angel Salazar (5-8, 200, Jr.) plays a variety of roles on both sides of the ball. He can play on the line with Dayton Lasley (5-10, 200, Jr.) or as the defensive orchestrator from middle linebacker. Isaiah Wallin (5-10, 170, Jr.) has been committed to the weight room and improving this offseason. “His athletic ability has continued to develop,” Terry said. “Because of that he has become extremely versatile in what he can do for our team.” Lofland and Brown will also appear on the defensive side of the ball, lined up in coverage.
