Claremore Zebras Girls Basketball Preview – Presented by Keith Wagoner Shelter Insurance

Coach: Bobby Cope

21-22 Record: 6-16

The Lady Zebras have several key players from last season returning to the court this year as well as some new faces who are expected to dot the lineup for head coach Bobby Cope. Coach Cope enters his first season as head coach of the Lady Zebras program.

“It will be interesting to see how we are this year; we have some good pieces set in place but also have a lot of questions yet to be answered. Key players returning from last years team will be senior Jada Israel, and sophomores Hope Bump and Roz Tillis. Some key additions this year will be Cassy Factor and Annabelle Vanaman,” said coach Cope. Hope Bump (So.) is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and a player who can score at will. “One of the best sophomores in the state. Strong and smart player. Sees the court well, knows how to get others involved,” said coach Cope.

Jada Israel (Sr.) is a stretch-4 and is a threat to scores from anywhere on the floor. Israel and Bump can both rebound and play solid defense. Annabelle Vanaman (Jr.) and Casey Factor (Sr.) will both make big impacts this season. Roz Tillis (So.) is another member of that solid sophomore class. Tillis is a tenacious player who has a high ceiling. Expect the Lady Zebras to be a tough team with good shooting from the perimeter.

Other players to watch include Libbie Jones (Fr.), Cassy Factor (Sr.), Makenzie McNamara (So.), Jazz Cookson (Jr.), Kalin Brito (Jr.), and Emoree Woody (Jr.).
