Hope Anderson and Katie Quantie are teammates on the Locust Grove High School softball team. Anderson, who is a junior plays centerfield, while Quantie is a sophomore and starts at second base. We asked a few fun questions to help you get to know them a little better.
Q: How old were you when you first played softball? Do you remember what your team’s name was?
HA: I was four years old and our team was the Pink Pirates
KQ: My first team was the Locust Grove Lady Pirates when I was ten years old.
Q: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
HA: My favorite class is choir. I would have to say that Mr. Yoder is my favorite teacher.
KQ: English would be my top subject and Mrs. Johnson is my pick for favorite teacher.
Q: What is your go-to pregame meal?
HA: Pizza
KQ: Fried potatoes
Q: Who are the comedians on the team? Does anyone do a good impression of coach Tramel?
HA: Kaylee and Lizzie together can make you laugh at anything. Chloe definitely does the best impression of coach Tramel.
KQ: Coach Trammel is definitely the comedian but Zoe Stark does the best impression.
Q: What is your thing about playing softball at Locust Grove?
HA: I love how we are like a family and always have each others back whether in a play or in everyday life.
KQ: I enjoy the love that we have for each other. And no matter what happens, we will always fight for each other. I love this team.
Q: What is your best memory from being part of this team?
HA: When we were riding home from one of our games and we all sang Taylor Swift songs at the top of our lungs and laughed the whole way home.
KQ: My favorite memory would be in 2020 when we hosted playoffs and won, then celebrated by tackling each other in the middle of the field.
