Pryor High School junior Addie Moore is a varsity soccer player and a student at the Northeast Tech’s Pryor campus. As a student at both schools, Moore understands the importance of a good education and both Pryor High School and Northeast Tech are providing that for Moore. At Northeast Tech, Moore is enrolled in the Visual Communications course, something she loves and is considering as a career.
“I’m in Visual Communications. I think it was the right course for me because I love the art side of technology,” said Moore.
There are many aspects of the course she has enjoyed and learning new skills such as layout, design and photography have been her favorite subjects so far.
“I like my course so far and my favorite part is the design and photography part,” said Moore. “I have also enjoyed how nice the staff and faculty are to the students.”
As a soccer player for Pryor High School and a club team, Moore recognizes hard work pays off and she puts the hard work into everything she does on the field and at school. Her future goal is to attend college once she has graduated from Pryor and Northeast Tech. Her talents may take her in a different direction, but for now Moore is considering an entirely new direction in college.
“After I graduate from Pryor High School, I plan to go to college and get an accounting degree,” said Moore.
For Moore, designing and what she is learning at Northeast Tech will always be a job path she could explore later. Or as Moore put it, do on the side.
“I don’t know if I’ll do it full time (Visual Communications), but maybe I would as a design job on the side,” said Moore.
The junior offers this advice to other students who are considering Northeast Tech as an avenue to get a head-start on a future career.
“Just be yourself,” said Moore.
