SALINA WILDCATS
Coach: CASEY BROWN
OUTLOOK
With a healthy dose of upperclassmen mixed in with 11 freshmen, head coach Casey Brown is excited about the opportunities of his Salina Wildcats in 2023. “We have eight upperclassmen that will help 11 freshmen transition into high school softball.
We look to be more competitive on the field than we have in the past,” Brown said. “I am looking forward to seeing how this team comes together to play well as a unit and help change Salina softball for the better. Pretty excited.” Outfielder Jimmie Pashos, first baseman Braylynn Proctor and outfielder Summer Lewis will provide leadership as the three seniors on the roster. Juniors are catcher/outfielder Leah Gardner and pitcher/infielder Terika Hughes. Sophomores include outfielders Lillye Smith and Kevi Loftis, and team manager Makenzie Geres. The 11 freshmen include infielders Tayla Vance, Kealey Sanders and Macee Sorum, outfielders Kayle Holt and Sage Praytor, pitcher Brooklyn Leach, pitcher/infielder Addi Pence, infielder/outfielders Sadie Brickey, Lainey Gardner and Paisley Chancellor, and catcher/infielder Peyton Jackson.
