Allie Scullawl is in the final chapter of her career at Bartlesville High School.

Scullawl, a senior shortstop on the Bruins’ softball team, was recently named a Bartlesville area softball VYPE poll winner.

Scullawl was a District Defensive Player of the Year last season and is in her fourth year as a starter.

Offensively, Scullawl hit .267 with four doubles, 13 runs scored and three RBIs as a junior. This season, she wanted to improve her offensive numbers and help the Bruins advance beyond regionals.

The friendships she has developed throughout high school are what she will cherish the most.

“Something I will remember the most are all the friendships and bonds I’ve made with people in school and softball,” Scullawl said.

Scullawl plans to work over the summer following graduation before attending college in the the fall of 2024. She’s already got a head start on college.

“After high school, I look forward to going to college to become a dental hygienist,” she said. “This year I will be taking all college classes to kind of get ahead in the schooling part.” 

Scullawl, who enjoys spending time with her family and friends and also her boyfriend and his family, going to the lake on the weekends, has some advice for underclassmen and is thankful for her family and coaches.

“They can do anything they put their minds to,” she said. “If you want something, go after it because if you don’t you’ll regret it in the future.

“I want to thank my family and my coaches for sticking with me throughout my softball career. They’ve taught me so much that I can take into my future and have helped me become the person and teammate I am today.”
