9 Qs with Bartlesville’s Luke Fox – Baseball – Presented by First Presbyterian Church

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Luke: I just always played it. I would play with a little plastic bat when I was young so they put me into tee-ball and I’ve been playing since.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Luke: Baseball has taught me a lot about being patient with myself and how to overcome things that might be bothering you in your life.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Luke: I’m passionate about baseball because it has been all I’ve known since I was a kid and it’s just for the love of the game it makes me happy and I love playing it.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Luke: My favorite part about being on a team is the connection we all have and the fun times we have. Also, how we get so close like we are one big family and all have each other’s back no matter what.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Luke: The teammate that has let the biggest impact on me has to be Bradee Rigdon just because we have always played together and known each other and I have always seen him as like an older brother and would always try and be like him when we were little and playing together.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?
Luke: Yadier Molina because of the way he goes by himself as a person and the way he leaves it all out on the field and no matter how old he is playing that he can still show you what he’s got, I’ve always loved Yadi because of all the work he has put in to get to the place he is at now.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Luke: I have always looked up to my father and I think he inspires me just cause of the amazing man and father he is.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Luke: My favorite teacher has to be my sixth-grade history teacher Mr. Fox who was my father. It was fun but he was always making sure I was getting my work done first.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Luke: My all-time favorite meal has to be a shrimp boil.
