9 Q’s with Bartlesville’s Macie Schaper- Slowpitch Softball – Presented by Patriot Auto

VYPE: What motivates you?
Macie: I have two little sisters that look up to me, and that motivates me to be the best I can and to always be working for more.

VYPE: What has been the highlight moment of your career?
Macie: I don’t know if there’s one specific moment that I would say is the highlight of my career, but getting to play with some of the same girls and see them grow as players through our careers is probably my favorite thing.

VYPE: What has it taken to be successful in your sports?
Macie: It has taken lots of work and focus to be successful. You have to have dedication and make some sacrifices in your personal life.

VYPE: Is there an opponent that you enjoy beating the most? Why?
Macie: I love playing Enid, both at home and away.

VYPE: Which teammate do you enjoy working against the most in practice?
Macie: Allie Scullawl pushes me to be better and work harder than ever.

VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school and community when you play?
Macie: It means a lot to be able to represent my school when I play because I’m not just playing for me I’m playing for the school too and it makes me want to do really good.

VYPE: Who are some of your biggest influences or role models? Why?
Macie: My mom is my biggest role model, she’s very selfless and I’ve always wanted to be like her.

VYPE: What teacher has had the biggest impact on your life? How?
Macie: Mrs. Karen Hays is the teacher that has had the biggest impact on my life. She was my teacher at Tri-County Tech and she not only taught me everything I needed to know to get my CNA license, but she also taught me some other life lessons and always made sure I was taken care of.

VYPE: Who is your favorite person you follow on social media? Why?
Macie: Jayda Coleman is my favorite person that I follow on social media. She has so much energy and she’s really good at softball, she’s someone I try to model myself after.
