Hi, what are you looking for?

Bartlesville

9Q’s with Bartlesville’s Chloe Villarruel – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Arvest Bank

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Chloe: I was recruited by an old friend to come try an open gym at Top-Flight Athletics and just never stopped coming after that. This last season I met some new girls who joined the competitive team who convinced me to try school cheer.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Chloe: Being a part of this team makes me feel like i have a support system as well as a second family.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Chloe: Cheer was the first thing I fell in love with. After trying several other sports, cheer was the first thing that gave me a spark.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?

Chloe: My favorite memory would have to be cheer camp. It always helps the team become more of a family in such a short amount of time.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Chloe: My best friend Kiley. She was my first friend since I moved cities and has been by my side since. She does both varsity and all-star cheer with me cheering me on through injuries, mental blocks, and always being there no matter what.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Chloe: How to always be kind because you never know what could be going on in someone else’s life.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Chloe: It helps me be more involved with high school activities. I love being able to help out as a cheer team even if it’s little things.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Chloe: Anything my Aunt Susie makes, I think I enjoy the memories the most.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Chloe: I would like to thank my all-star cheer coach Hannah Knight who has always helped me to the best of my ability and has never let me down nor given up on me. She has helped me through many personal problems and has always listened when I needed it.
