Bartlesville Football Preview: Offense – Presented by Jaron Leach Shelter Insurance

Head coach – Harry Wright

2021: 2-8

With 10 returning starters on both sides of the ball, new Bartlesville head coach Harry Wright feels good about the experience his Bruins have. Wright says his team has had a really good offseason highlighted by energy and competition. Offensively, the new Bruins staff will use a spread look to make defenses cover the entire field. They will also use no huddle to keep the same defensive players on the field as much as possible. Wright says the Bruins will also try to find ways to get their best playmakers in space. Nate Neal (5-9, 175, Soph.) takes the reins at quarterback after being thrown into the situation a year ago. Wright says Neal is a hard worker with a great attitude. Neal will have a several weapons at his disposal. VYPE Top 100 athlete Kaden Brown (5-9, 170, Sr.) is a multi-year starter at receiver and is one of the better route runners Wright has seen. Damien Niko (6-1, 160, So.) is a bigger target that will look to make an impact as a sophomore. PJ Wallace (6-0, 195, So.) and Austin Zink (5-11, 185, Jr.) are a pair of running backs that will look to take some pressure off Neal and the passing attack. Up front, Shaun Lickliter (6-5, 250, Sr.) will anchor the offensive line.
