Bartlesville Softball Spotlight Emerson Casey – Presented by Arvest Bank

One of the most important characteristics for young people to develop is the ability to adapt to different environments, situations, and circumstances as they grow up and mature. While it’s difficult for anyone to adapt to a new environment, Bartlesville sophomore Emerson Casey, has had a bit of experience in these situations after moving several times in recent years.

Casey, a multi-sport athlete who plays softball, basketball, and track says that she is most proud of her ability to adapt to new and different circumstances on and off the field. When she isn’t competing, Casey often participates in tech and science programs as well as the National Honor Society, FCA, and her local church youth group.

On the field she’s a competitor. Casey plays outfield for Bartlesville, but especially looks forward to opportunities at the plate.

“I love to hit!” Casey said. “It’s my favorite part of the game.” Casey also mentioned that being involved in team sports is important to her because it allows opportunities to make lasting friendships.

Casey already has fond memories of softball and the camaraderie formed her freshman year.

“My favorite memory is probably the Putnam City tournament,” she said. “I liked getting to play multiple games and bonding with the team.”

Casey’s coaches have been impressed by her enthusiasm and positive attitude.

When looking for inspiration Casey had this to say: “I would say Jesus Chris is my Lord and Savior. I would also say Stephen Curry. I have always been a huge fan. I love how he carries himself on and off the court. I think he is a great role model for hard work and character.”
