Sophomore point guard Dennis Duncan is one of several varsity basketball players for Bartlesville High School who are prepared and ready to take on a tough schedule this season. Duncan said the team is working hard to find their rhythm and get the Bruins in the win column.
“I feel like this could be a rebuilding year for us. I feel like we are coming together well and doing the best we can. The way my teammates have my back and will always make me laugh but will also push me through the hard stuff is what I love most about this team. We just want to compete be competitive and give 100 percent at all times,” said Duncan.
The support for the team is growing as they continue to battle through a rigorous schedule.
“The fans support and the help from my brothers and coaches on the basketball team is what I love about being a student-athlete at BHS,” said Duncan. Duncan hopes to one day play at the next level. To ensure he makes that step, Duncan has involved himself in other school activities like student council, and homecoming court. The sophomore said his favorite subject in school is science and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Harper.
When he is away from the court, Duncan said he enjoys spending time with family and hanging out with friends.
