Bartlesville’s Hudson Eads Athlete Spotlight Presented by Conoco Phillips

Hudson Eads

Bartlesville High School

Bartlesville High School junior Hudson Eads is a sophomore this season for the Bruins. The guard said playing for coach Clent Stewart and representing BHS is a lot of fun.

“Being a student-athlete for Bartlesville High School is a lot of fun. My teammates are like family and my coaches put a lot of time and effort into our team. My dad was a Bartlesville state champion for wrestling, and I’d love to live on the tradition but in basketball,” said Eads. “I love how my teammates cheer me on. I love that they push me to be better. I can hear them on the sideline telling me to take the shot that I might have hesitated to do. I also enjoy my teammates off the court. We spend a lot of time together and they are my basketball family.”

Eads is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and said his favorite subject in school is science.

“I attend Fellowship of Christian athletes on Friday mornings. Even though it is an early morning I enjoy being a part of this organization so I can better my relationship with Christ,” said Eads. “My favorite subject is science, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Hubler. Even though she teaches math and that’s not my favorite subject, she does a lot for us and builds a relationship with her students.”

Eads said the team has had some ups and downs this year, but they continue to work hard improve.

“Our team is having some struggles this year. We had quite a bit of seniors leave last year, and we have many underclassmen. Our height seems to be a big challenge as well,” said Eads. “My goal for the season is to give everything I have on the court and to better my game individually and as a teammate.”

The sophomore said he is still undecided on life after high school, but he is considering his options. In his free time, Eads enjoys spending time with friends and family.

“My friends and I love to get together and play basketball in the driveway. I love watching sports with my brothers. I also enjoy gaming with my best bud, Skyler,” said Eads.
