Coach: David Vann
20-21 Record: 3-10
The Lady Ironmen struggled through last season but as they enter this new season, head coach David Vann likes the makeup of his team and said last season’s experience will be an asset. “We will have more of a mixture of experience, youth, and athleticism than last year’s team,” Vann said. “As always, we will rely on our defense to keep us in games until we build chemistry and become a better offensive group.” Guard Ty Brown (5-7, Jr.) is an outstanding player and should be a leader of the team this year. He also has a great opportunity to play at the collegiate level. Morgan Hobbs (5-4, Sr.) will play point guard and will look to have a big impact on the season. After putting in a lot of hard work this offseason, Rylee Collier (5-8, Jr.) is expected to be a key player for the team.
The freshman duo of Trailee Watson (5-6, Fr.) and Kennedy Nubel (5-9, Fr.) will both be big-time playmakers and should be playing in college after graduation. Mackenzie Barnes (5-7, Sr.), Alexis Malone (5-5, Sr.), Madison Barnes (5-4, Jr.), Lisse Mathis (5-6, Sr.), Tia Tanner (5-5, Fr.), Lania Taylor (5-4, Fr.), Adasyn Hayes (5-6, Fr.) will all be looking for more playing time and are all ready to make an impact on the court. Other players that could be called to make big contributions this season will be Mesa Holt (5-4, So.), Danica Johnston (5-8, So.), Dakota Brown (5-6, So.), Jordyn Ashley (5-7, Fr.), Tori Tanner (4-11, Fr.), Haili Guthrie (5-6, Fr.), Angela Reed (5-5, Sr.)
