Senior Cade Winter Talks Tennis and Life After High School – Presented by Matt Spence – State Farm

Cade Winter

No. 2 doubles player for the Bruins, Cade Winter started his tennis journey while in junior high. Since then, the now senior has played a lot of matches and has loved every minute of it.

“I started playing tennis in 8th grade. It’s tough to pick one but two of my favorite memories are beating Edmond Memorial this year in a long match or qualifying for state last year,” said Winter.

Playing on a team within a team is challenging, but for one half of this doubles team, it’s exactly where he wants to be.

“I enjoy the team bonding and atmosphere most. My doubles partner Sebastian White always impresses me. His willingness to fight against adversity and constantly improve is incredible to see in your doubles partner,” said Winter.

This season, Winter and the entire Bruin team continued to work to improve on the court.

“I enjoy their willingness to support and lend advice whenever I need it most. The consistency of my ground strokes has definitely improved the most since last season,” said Winter.

Also a member of the cross country team, Winter is involved in other activities such as National Honor Society, World Language Club, and Interact Club. His plans after graduation include some down time before college, traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors.
