Bartlesville

Who Bartlesville’s Kenzie Denny Looks Up to and More – Presented by Union State Bank

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Kenzie: My goals for the season are to have a game winning season and to average at least 10 points per game.

VYPE: Who is your favorite athlete and why?

Kenzie: My favorite athlete is probably Jada Coleman because she just puts out good energy and works really hard for what she wants.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Kenzie: My favorite teacher out of all the grades I’ve been in was Mrs. McCauley because she helped me learn so much, was really kind, and made math my favorite subject.

VYPE: Who do you look up to and why?

Kenzie: I look up to my best friend Macie Schaper because she is a phenomenal athlete and just opened up the gates of confidence for me, and is just a great person overall and I want to be just like her.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Kenzie: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me was this year when I played softball and it was Macie Schaper. She left the biggest impression on me because I learned from her that it’s okay to mess up and to just move on from it.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Kenzie: My favorite part about being on the basketball team is that everyone gets along really well and the team just has great chemistry on and off the court.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Kenzie: If I could go anywhere for summer vacation I would probably go to Destin, Florida because I’ve been there before and I loved every second of it. I would take my parents and my friend Macie. I would take my parents so I have some money to do things and I would take Macie because she has never been to Florida before.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing basketball?

Kenzie: I was four years old when I started playing basketball. I got into basketball because my parents wanted me to try it out and I just fell in love with it.
