Chouteau Wildcats Boys Basketball Preview Presented by Welch State Bank

Coach: Kelly Clarke

22-23 Record: 5-20

The efforts to build the Chouteau-Maize basketball program continue as head coach Kelly Clarke embarks on another season at the helm. Numbers do not seem to be an issue with the team as several players appear to have returned to the lineup.

The roster, located on Max Preps.com, shows several key players back for the Wildcats.

Noah Daugherty (6-3, Jr.) and Adam Telemchuk are listed as centers with Daugherty also playing some small forward. Guard listed on the roster include Nick Lunsford at point guard, Andy Hill (5-7) at shooting guard, and Matthew Coblentzat shooting guard. Matthew Soldier (Sr.) is listed as a small forward, while Cayden Craine will likely play power forward. Other players to watch include Landon Miller (So.), Lucas Grossman (So.), Trey Miller (6-1 Jr.), Tyler Detweiler (Jr.), Daniel Burkholder, Blake Troyer (So.), Braden Chupp (Jr.), TJ Barker, Kyler Hill (Jr.), Robert Taylor (6-1 Fr.), and Brady Nicholas (Sr.).

While little may be known about the team at this point in the season, one constant is coach Kelly Clarke. Expect the Wildcats to continue to build and develop as the season moves forward. They close out December on the road to Adair before hosting Mounds and Liberty to start the new year. Big games with Salina and Adair are on the schedule as the season wraps up for the Wildcats.
