GIRLS
Coach: Donnie Martin
21-22 Record: 16-11
The Lady Tigers are ready to make a run in the postseason this year and head coach Donnie Martin thinks his squad can do just that.
“We are returning seven girls that either started or played significant minutes last season,” Martin said. “We expect our five seniors to provide great leadership for this team. Our conference will be tough, but it should prepare us for the postseason.”
A leader on the team this season will be Kayley Alt (5-8, Sr.). Kayley has led the team in scoring for the last two years and she is on the verge of joining the 1,000-point club. She was the MVP of two of the three tournaments that Pryor played in last year. She has committed to East Central University but had multiple college offers. Kayley’s a great student, athlete, and most importantly person.
Anna Crisp (5-7, Jr.) will also be a key player this season. She always knows what needs to happen. She’s a coach on the floor and she loves her teammates and loves playing the game of basketball.
A new face on the team this season will be Shayley Brewer (5-10, Sr.). She had to sit out last varsity season because she transferred from a neighboring school. Shayley is an excellent shooter and hates to lose.
Another player that will look to make a big impact this season is Maggie Martin (5-9, So.). She missed most of last season with a broken hand. But she has recovered and is ready to get back out there. She is strong around the rim and has a nice shot.
Camree Hawkes (5-8, Sr.) is a three-sport athlete that is tough and brings leadership to the team. She looks to have an outstanding senior season.
Other players to watch out for this season are Hannah Rhymer (5-8, Sr.), Paige Elam (5-10, Sr.), and Jonah Daily (5- 7, So.).
Assistant coaches are Lori Martin, Jason Stimson, and Dori Branham.
