The small but mighty Claremore Zebras swim team will showcase an eclectic mix of varsity swimmers this season.
Coached by Kimberly Ward, the Zebras have three swimmers. Senior Sylvia Admire leads the crew after she won the 6A 100- and 200-yard freestyle state titles last season.
“Sylvia is a great swimmer. She won both of her events last year and earned second place in both of her events the year before,” Ward says. “She has made a commitment to swim at Illinois State University. She is one of the sweetest girls I know. She will cheer on her opponents, even if she is swimming against them.”
Junior Brenyln Vickery placed third in the 100 backstroke and eighth in the 200 freestyle as a sophomore. Summer Pfeiffer rounds out the squad.
