Baylee Gregg is a senior at Grove High School where she competes on the girls’ basketball and soccer squads. Gregg returns for her final season on the soccer field as one of the team’s best defenders.
“Baylee will be a key part of the team’s defense but is also capable of getting forward and helping in the midfield and attack,” Coach Walker Botts said. “Baylee is a tough soccer player who makes good decisions and competes at a high level. She is a good defensive player who wins the ball and progresses it to the midfielders and the attackers. Baylee stepped up to help lead in the offseason and will be a key part of our success in the 2022 season.”
Outside of athletics, Gregg is her senior classes valedictorian and was homecoming queen this past year. She’s also the president of the National Honor Society and carries a 4.0 GPA.
“Off the field, Baylee is well respected by her peers and staff at the high school,” Botts said.
Gregg has accepted a scholarship to attend the University of Tulsa where she plans to major in political science before pursuing law school at Tulsa.
Gregg made sure to credit her English teacher, Terri Guthridge, for support in the classroom.
“[Terri] is just super amazing,” Gregg said. “I’ve known her for three years and she is so awesome, inclusive and intelligent. She’s just overall so supportive of everyone and with anything they want to do.”
