Kendra Sellers started playing softball when she was in elementary school. Now a sophomore, Sellers is a member of the varsity softball team at Oklahoma Union High School.
“I have been playing since T-ball,” said Sellers. “My position is in left field.”
Sellers said she loves her teammates and being part of the OK Union family.
“What I love most about my teammates is that we are always there for each other, we always cheer each other on, and lift each other up,” said Sellers. “I like to be involved and hanging out with a group of girls who have some of the same interests that I have and making memories with them.”
Academics are also important for her.
“Academics are one of my top priorities in school. Coming from a family where both of my parents are educators, academics have always come before extracurricular activities,” said Sellers. “I would like to attend NSU in Tahlequah and major in education.”
The left fielder said she is blessed to be surrounded by so many great people in her life.
“I have been blessed at Oklahoma Union to have several wonderful teachers and great classes. I couldn’t pick just one favorite teacher, because so many of them have had positive influences on my life.”
When she’s not on the field playing ball, you can usually find Sellers hanging out with friends and family.
“I also enjoy going to youth group, and singing at my church,” said Sellers.
