Pawhuska Girls Basketball Preview – Presented by Buffalo Joe’s

Coach: David Cash
20-21 Record: 19-7

After winning 19 games last season, head coach David Cash is looking to build on that success with three returning starters from a year ago. “The expectation is for this team to improve on last seasons record. Many talented underclassmen are ready to contribute to this year’s squad,” said coach Cash. Jordan Nelson (5-8, Sr.) can crash the boards and brings leadership to the floor for Pawhuska. Miya Curry (5-8, Jr.) will start at point guard where she averaged 10 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest last year.

Curry is returning from an injury she suffered during the playoffs. Fallon Bowman (6-0, So.) averaged 5.0 points and 5.0 rebounds as a freshman. Coach Cash believes Bowman is ready to take that next step as a starter. Hannah Reynolds (5-9, Fr.) is a fresh face looking to make an immediate impact on the team. Nevaeh Taylor (5-7, Sr.) is a returning starter and a great defender. Also look for Gloria Baker (So.) to play multiple positions and is very coachable. Coach Cash is excited to see how the rest of the team develops as the season moves forward.
