As a sophomore at Wyandotte High School, baseball is a huge part of life for Evan Brown.
He plays two positions in the game: catcher and shortstop. Proficient in all the important responsibilities as a catcher and shortstop, Evan is a veteran at baseball. Evan has a long history of playing the sport. He stated that he has played baseball, “Since I was 3 years old.”
When asked what his favorite part of baseball is, he said, “My favorite part of baseball is the memories you make with your teammates.”
There are memories that are made when playing high school baseball, but to Evan, there is one particular event that has stood out thus far. Evan recalled, “My favorite memory of playing baseball is beating Riverton after my first game after an injury.”
In terms of who has personally influenced Evan the most, he looks towards family. Evan elaborated, “My brother has influenced me the most.”
In regards to a baseball player that Evan likes, he did not hesitate to mention who his favorite baseball player is. Evan proclaimed, “My favorite NCAA Baseball player is Braxton Douthit. He is a pitcher for the University of Oklahoma, and he is my favorite player because he is also from Wyandotte.”
In terms of academics, there is one subject that Evan enjoys the most. Evan explained, “by far, History is my favorite subject in high school. I like it because I like to learn about the past.”
After high school, Evan has big plans after graduating from Wyandotte High School. He stated, “After high school, I plan to become a college athlete or become a Bureau of Indian Affairs Officer.”
Outside the baseball diamond, there are other activities that Evan enjoys. He expounded, “Besides baseball, my favorite activities are football and powerlifting.”
