Trenton Brixey believes in staying tough and keeping your head up, even when you are not sure what to expect. A junior at Jay High School, Trenton plays football, power lifts, and throws discus during track season. This student athlete stays busy year-round, but he finds the most enjoyment when he is playing nose guard on the defensive line. When asked about football, Trenton responded that out of his entire career so far, when they beat Tulsa Central last year would have to be his favorite memory. He said that playing sports has had a major impact on who he is today, giving the reasons that it helps build discipline, strength, and bonds between teammates, all while making great memories.

In school Trenton also understands the value of staying tough, putting your head down, and putting in the work. His favorite teacher would have to be Mr. Pharr from his freshman and sophomore year because he knew when to be funny, when to be serious, “and he taught me how I could understand the lessons.” He went on to say that his biggest inspiration is his father, Henry Brixey, because “he taught me how to be tough, how to be a team player, and gave me tips to not only be a better football player but how to be a better man.” The teammate who has made the biggest impact on Trenton in Kannon Scott, he says, due to his high energy and great work ethic, plus he never complains and “is a great friend I think everyone deserves.”

One of the favorite parts of representing Jay High School for Trenton is all the love and support he gets, that “it’s just a good community,” and town. A quote that Trenton thinks of often is “always work hard, never give up, and fight until the end because it’s never really over until the whistle blows.” He would like to shout out and thank his mom, dad, coaches, and all his fellow Bulldogs.
