Caney Valley cheerleader Ember Bell spoke to VYPE recently and shared that “Cheer has taught me to be strong and willing to be positive in any circumstance. It has also taught me to lead and represent important things in my life. Most importantly, it’s made me overall into a better person and to see the good in life.” Going on to say that “My favorite part of being on the team is stunting and bus rides to the game. I love talking about life, future plans, makeup, and funny stories with my squad on the way to games.”
Outside of cheer, Bell also participates in FFA saying “I am involved in FFA and show pigs competitively. I have shown pigs for about 8 years. This year I have 15 pigs and spend most of my time out in the barn when I’m not at cheer practice or a game. I am also in the NHS because I love to be involved in any way I can with my school and community.”
Presently, her goals are “to get accepted into the nursing program at NEO and spend quality time with my family, best friend, boyfriend, and God.” There to guide and support her along the way are her parents Tonya and Matt Bell. “They have led me into the right path of hard work, commitment, and learning how to be successful. They have taught me to be motivated and push through the days that are hard” said Bell.
Inspiring her to do the same is something else – her faith. Bell expressed that “My biggest inspiration in life is God. My faith pushes me to be the best I can and get through the hard days. I have learned to be thankful for every single day and I’m inspired to give it my all every day.”
