VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Kaelynn: My goals for this season would be to beat our record from last year and continue to do and be the best I can for my team! #fortheculture

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Kaelynn: My sport has taught me to be hardworking, motivated and consistent.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Kaelynn: Mrs. Henderson, because she is easy to talk to and makes me feel comfortable, and she genuinely cares for her students.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Kaelynn: My grandma, because she’s not only a powerful leader but such an amazing, caring person who has made a huge impact on people around her.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Kaelynn: My teammate, Grace McPhail, because she has spent endless amounts of time in the gym with me and is always pushing me to get better.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Kaelynn: My favorite part about being on a team is being able to create bonds and being a leader…being a part of something bigger than myself.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Kaelynn: If I could go anywhere I would go to the barbados with my family and friends.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Kaelynn: I love the game and it’s something that when you are having a bad day, or too stressed, or just want to ease your mind, you can go and do what you love.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Kaelynn: Wow, where to begin. I have had so many great and inspiring coaches in my life. From starting out with YMCA ball with Matt Decker, to evolving and continuing to pursue my dreams of playing in college by participating in AAU ball. This started with the Martins seeing the potential and believing in me. Coach Marty (AAU) taking over and building a strong foundation for me. Coach A and my teammates became the foundation for me and where I ended up finishing my AAU season. My high school years of playing have been lots of tears and joy! Coach Shaw took over two years ago and has brought out some of the best in me, and Antonio for believing in me and taking the time to work with me. I definitely plan on playing at the next level. I have made some truly incredible bonds with these coaches and I’m grateful.
