OFFENSE 

The Cougars will face another tough schedule this season, but with another year of experience under their belts, head coach Steven Trammel believes this team has an opportunity to enjoy more success this season and continue building on the positives. “The Cougars enter a difficult schedule with a young, inexperienced team. The overall athleticism of the team will offer opportunities for improvement throughout the year and make the team competitive,” said coach Trammel. Austin Harris (6-0, 175, Sr.) returns as one of the top athletes on the team this season. Harris can be used in multiple ways. Isiah Johnson (5-6, 140, Jr.) will start at running back giving the Cougars a quick back with big play potential. Levi Hicks (5-9, 230, Sr.) anchors an offensive line that includes James Garoutte (5-10, 230, Jr.). Quarterback Connor Pierce (6-1, 170, So.) is young with a high football IQ and is developing the skills to be an outstanding quarterback. 

DEFENSE

Five starters are back for the Cougars on defense. Billy Bowers (5-10, 230, Sr.) is the catalyst responsible for getting the engine turning on defense. Bowers will set the tone while Jack Campos (6-4, 150, Jr.) will put the exclamation point on the play. Harris will go both ways playing safety in the secondary with Easton Brennan (5-10, 160, Sr.) at corner. Pierce will see time at defensive end giving the Cougars an athletic end who can put pressure on the opposing offense. The goal for the Cougars: be fast!

9-20 – at Hominy 

10-7 – vs. Tonkawa 

10-13 – at Woodland 

10-21 – vs. Chouteau 

10-28 – at Pawnee 

11-4 – at Chelsea
