Bartlesville Area Girls Poll Winner

Fallon Bowman

Pawhuska High School

VYPE Top 100 selectee and Bartlesville Area poll winner, Fallon Bowman, is a returning starter for the Pawhuska girl’s basketball team. Bowman was instrumental in helping Pawhuska to a 26-5 record last season. Now a senior, Bowman is excited to return to the court and represent Pawhuska for her final season of prep basketball.

“I love being able to compete with my teammates and love having the opportunity to constantly improve,” said Bowman.

The power forward averaged 11.9 points per game with 7.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals per contest last season. Bowman said she loves playing with this group and is excited to see how far they can go.

“I love how we are able to help and correct each other when we do things wrong and then be supportive and happy when our teammates do good. This helps our connection on the court. Our team is slowly starting to come together! We still have a lot of things we need to work on as a team but overall, it’s going pretty good,” said Bowman.

The goal remains the same for Bowman and Pawhuska.

“The goal for this season is being able to be consistent with our effort and intensity,” said Bowman.

The senior was quick to mention several teammates as players to watch this season.

“Some teammates to look for are Hannah Reynolds (Jr.) and Shanell Cochrane,” said Bowman.

In the classroom, Bowman said she does not have a favorite teacher because she likes them all, but her favorite subject is science. Once her playing days come to an end at Pawhuska HS, Bowman plans to attend college and continue her basketball career.

“I want to go play college basketball and go to school to get a degree in nursing,” said Bowman.

Away from the court and school Bowman uses her free time catch up with friends and the shows she’s missed. “In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to music, and watching my Netflix shows,” said Bowman.
