9 Q’s with Jay’s Jovylin Ward – Presented by Eye Care of Grand Lake

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Jovylin: I started playing T-ball when I was four and have been playing since. I started to take softball more seriously when I was in the fifth grade when I started playing travel softball.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?

Jovylin: My favorite memory is after a tournament we went to a minor league baseball game and got to watch the fireworks as a team.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?  

Jovylin: The friendship and being there for each other.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Jovylin: Ashtyn Glass because she is very passionate and a great teammate.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Jovylin: Shonda Davis my fourth grade teacher, she was always so kind and was a great teacher. 

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Jovylin: My parents because they are hard working, kind and very funny.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Jovylin: I want to say thank you to my dad for always being there for me and pushing me to be the best I can be at softball.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Jovylin: I would go to Florida and take Ashtyn Glass.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Jovylin: How do you climb a mountain? One step at a time.
