Athletes work hard to build a career that they can be proud of. Whether they only play in high school or they become a professional athlete, the success that they have is something that they can enjoy for the rest of their lives.
Ethan Faul is a senior at Afton High School. He says that there is not one specific memory that stands out for him, instead, it is his football career as a whole that he is pleased with.
“When I look back on it, my first and my last football games have to be my favorite moments,” he recalled. “It was a lifetime experience to have the best teammates and coaches that drove me to be the best player that I could be.”
Along with being a member of the Eagles football team, Faul is also a member of the school’s basketball, baseball, and powerlifting teams.
Faul has put in a lot of work in order to get where he is today. He says that continual improvement has been key to his success.
“I have put in a lot of hard work and dedication,” he said. “Throughout the season I always wanted to be better than I was in the game before and I wanted to be the best at what I do.”
The influence that people have had on Ethan’s life has been a big part of why he is the person and the athlete he is today. He says that he has a few people to thank for that impact on his life.
“My parents and coaches have been my biggest influences,” he stated. “They pushed me to work hard and never quit. Another person would have to be my favorite teacher, Paul Sanders. He has taught me many things but one that stood out to me the most was all of our Spanish lessons. He also has taught us to be better people.”
Ethan is also a member of the student council, yearbook, and the Interact Club.
