Pryor’s Reeve Ross Athlete Spotlight Presented by Rhett Minson State Farm

Reeve Ross

Pryor High School

The definition of a successful program at the prep level is defined by several factors. Can they win it all or do they have the potential to win? Are they winning matches? Pryor High School and head girls’ soccer coach Kirk Emerine check those boxes. Pryor always has a tough team full of playmakers and if you look at their schedule, year after year they are winning big matches.

One player coach Emerine is counting on this season is Reeve Ross, a senior who fights for every ball and brings a tough mentality to the pitch.

“She quietly goes about her business working hard. Never have to worry about her off the field or in the classroom,” said Emerine.

For Ross, being part of the varsity soccer team has been a great experience and she treats her teammates like family.

“I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. My teammates are like family. I have made lifelong friends throughout the team, and we can always lean on each other,” said Ross.

Soccer is not her only sports. In the fall, Ross competed in cross country, which also translates to being on the soccer field. Ross plans to continue playing soccer at the next level.

“I am involved in FFA, National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, and cross country. After I graduate, I plan on attending Seminole State College to continue my soccer career and major in nursing,” said Ross.

Being a student-athlete at PHS has been a great experience for the senior. She is grateful for all of the faculty and teachers who make being a Tiger special.

“The entire staff is great in Pryor! There are so many terrific opportunities to learn and be involved,” said Ross.

Aside from soccer and preparing for college, Ross said she is excited for the summer to arrive and the opportunity to spend time with her family. “We are taking a family vacation to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I also plan to spend time with my friends before going off to college,” said Ross. “I enjoy spending time outdoors.”
